Ego and Affliction: Eliminating the Origins of Suffering
With Karma Trinlay Rinpoche
July 10 - 11, 2021
A DHARMAKAYA CENTER PROGRAM
Buddhism teaches that the ego is an illusion, which creates misperceptions of ourselves and our relation to the rest of the world. Because of these misperceptions, we suffer.
In this two-part teaching, Karma Trinlay Rinpoche introduces the origin of suffering, the traps laid by the ego, and the resulting afflictions, built upon illusions such as ego. Understanding these afflictions and knowing how to deal with them is a crucial part of Buddhist practice.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Each session will be between 90 minutes and 2 hours. It will include a teaching, followed by a Question and Answer session.
OPEN TO ALL
This program is open to all; we ask for a donation if possible. The program will be available for replay for one month.
