Awakening the Inner Healer

With Tedi Zeng

April 19 - 21, 2024

RETREAT BY INVITED PRESENTER

Healing can be simple when we connect to the messenger within us. Every living creature has its way to self-repair. The answer to health and longevity is within you. We will explore how through a range of techniques, including acupressure, somatic nutrition, myofascial release, meditation, yoga, qigong, and taichi. Join us for a weekend of self-discovery, heart opening exercises, and exploration, gaining tools for self-healing that optimize the quality of life.

“Tedi has a phenomenal wealth of information and an educative power that engages, welcomes and opens you up for clarity, acceptance and love.”

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The body has so much hidden intelligence, and it wants us to thrive. During this restorative weekend, you will learn different tools from Eastern medicine to better connect with your body, mind, and soul.

  • Qigong – Ba Duan Jin: This is a form of medical Qigong designed to improve functions of internal organs and reduce muscle tightness and chronic pain. Simple yet powerful, you can build a 7-minute daily exercise routine for your home practice.
  • Acupressure: The best medicine is within your body, and the best doctor for you could be you. We will go through some of the most practical acupuncture points for self-healing, and learn how to give yourself a relaxing treatment using acupressure massage with essential oils, wherever and whenever you need it.
  • Workshop: Healing in Colors: What are your superpowers? What are your life’s purposes? How will you help yourself to be a healthier and better person? Where did your health issues come from, and what are they trying to teach you? We will explore those questions, for they hold the keys to your ultimate healing.
  • Tai Chi: Tai Chi is a great exercise to practice maintaining balance in an ever-changing world. Even the simplest Tai Chi movements can decrease heart rate, regulate the nervous system, and increase sleep quality.
  • Self-healing Meditation: Thoughts and beliefs can shape our lives. We will practice meditations that bring us to a higher vibration level, ease our discomfort, and achieve a more peaceful state.
  • Workshop: Somatic Nutrition: Are you eating the right food? How do you find out? We will look closer into our eating habits and search for food for the soul.

Tedi has also added a Bonus Session, a Myofascial Release Workshop, featuring simple and therapeutic ways of using props help release tension in the body. Myofascial work is designed to alleviate muscular pain and improve range of motion by targeting the fascia. This dense connective tissue surrounds and supports the body’s muscles, bones, and organs. Overall, the myofascial release offers a holistic approach to addressing muscular discomfort and dysfunction, helping individuals to move more freely, alleviate pain, and restore balance to the body. This class teaches you how to create your daily stretch routine for home practice.

Healing can be challenging. It requires courage, determination, effort, and tenacity. Sometimes, it opens doors to scary places. A Chinese proverb says, “Any illness is an opportunity, not a judgment. The purpose of dis-ease is to lead the person to themselves.” Together, we will explore our healing journey and discover the inner healer who has longed to meet you.
