Yoga Retreat for Men: Cultivating Our Power and Inner Calm, Spring 2025
With Stephan W. Kolbert
March 14 - 16, 2025
RETREAT BY INVITED PRESENTER
It’s time to step up and dive into a weekend of self-awareness, physical challenge, and introspection. The weekend will be filled with a sweet combination of several yoga (physical poses), breathwork, meditation, and restorative practices. We’ll devote time for shared discussion and community support, creating space for honesty, vulnerability, and hopefully abundant laughter.
“Stephan truly embraces yoga practice & implements it in his daily life, inspiring the group to see the world from a healthy perspective!”
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
As men, we often don’t take personal inventory of our health, our relationships, and our personal best practices, more frequently operating in a GSD (get sh*t done) mode. Use this weekend as a precipice to leap into a new way of thinking about our contributions to our communities as men. We’ll use an approach from the outside in to realign and set (or discover) our center, taking into consideration our relationships and personal needs.
This weekend:
- Expect to challenge yourself physically and wisely, in order to promote your optimum health and avoid injury.
- Dive deeply into conscious breathwork (pranayama), understanding how to breathe for optimum health and learning specific breathing practices for your wellness and for improved athletic performance.
- Discover and take time for meditation.
- Experience restorative and fulfilling rest, aka Yoga Nidra.
- Set goals for total personal health in your life.
- Create a model for continued dynamic and personal growth, and emotional and mental wellbeing.
- You will be encouraged to unplug from technology from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.
- Eat well. The meals are vegetarian, abundant, nutritious, and delicious!
Saturday afternoon will be spent on a beautiful 4-hour (total distance 8.6 miles) hike to a waterfall. Every part of the weekend is optional, but you are encouraged to take part in everything. It is only a weekend, there is a lot to explore, and it will go quickly. Carpe diem!
