Khaydroup met Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, her first Buddhist teacher in 1982. In 1991 Khaydroup had the good fortune to be guided by the late great Gendun Rinpoche, in two consecutive traditional Three-year retreats, in France. In 1997, she began teaching Dharma in Europe and the US and also helped to establish both the San Luis Obispo Bodhi Path (2001) and the Pasadena Bodhi Path (2002) where she continues as resident teacher.
